    Dolores Morfin brings a wealth of experience and dedication to her role as the Intake Specialist at Dod Law. With a career spanning multiple industries, she has developed a deep understanding of regulatory compliance, advocacy, education, and community engagement. Her diverse background has equipped her with the skills necessary to navigate complex legal and administrative landscapes effectively.

    Before joining Dod Law, Dolores spent over a decade in the automotive industry, where she served as the Executive Director for the San Diego County Auto Recyclers Association. In this role, she worked diligently to ensure that businesses complied with industry regulations and legal standards. She actively collaborated with the State of California Department of Motor Vehicles, advocating for policies that upheld industry integrity while assisting companies in maintaining operational compliance. Her efforts helped bridge the gap between state regulations and business practices, ensuring smooth and lawful operations within the auto recycling sector.

    Dolores’s professional journey has also provided her with firsthand exposure to the legal system. She dedicated more than five years to working within the Juvenile Court and Community School District, where she played an instrumental role in rehabilitative education. While at the Juvenile Detention Center, she assisted incarcerated youth in preparing for and obtaining their General Education Development (GED) certification. Her commitment to education and rehabilitation reinforced her passion for criminal justice and the transformative power of second chances.

    Prior to her time in the juvenile justice system, Dolores worked at the Monarch School in Downtown San Diego as the After-School Program Director. In this capacity, she played a vital role in fostering resilience and a sense of belonging among students and their families. Through her leadership, the program offered a range of activities, including art, dance, and private lessons, aimed at enriching students’ lives. She also established a Parent Support Group to provide families with crucial resources during times of crisis and uncertainty. Additionally, she conducted parent classes in both English and Spanish, empowering individuals with personal development and job readiness skills.

    In pursuit of furthering her expertise, Dolores is currently working toward a degree in Criminal Justice at the University of Phoenix. Her academic journey has also included coursework in accounting and business fundamentals, enhancing her proficiency in bookkeeping and financial management. Her multifaceted skill set enables her to approach challenges with analytical precision and a well-rounded perspective.

    A proud San Diego native, Dolores has a deep appreciation for her community and its unique cultural landscape. Outside of her professional endeavors, she finds joy in hiking and exploring nature. She is also an avid baseball enthusiast, embracing the sport’s camaraderie and strategic depth. Her passion for lifelong learning, justice, and community engagement continues to drive her professional aspirations and personal interests.
