Meet Maria Arzate Case Manager

Maria Arzate is a Case Manager at Dod Law, where she is committed to providing compassionate client support and helping individuals navigate the legal process with care and professionalism. She is a dedicated and driven professional with a strong interest in the legal field, criminal justice, and public service. Maria recently graduated from San Diego State University with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice, where she developed a strong foundation in legal systems, criminology, research, critical thinking, communication, and problem-solving. Throughout her academic journey, she gained a deeper understanding of the complexities of the justice system and the importance of advocacy, fairness, and providing meaningful support to individuals navigating challenging circumstances.

Maria’s interest in law and advocacy has been shaped by both her academic experiences and her personal background. Growing up in a family defined by sacrifice, resilience, and perseverance, she developed a deep appreciation for the importance of access to justice, effective representation, and compassionate advocacy. These experiences inspired her long-term goal of attending law school and becoming an attorney dedicated to serving others and making a meaningful impact within her community. She believes that every individual deserves to be treated with respect, empathy, and professionalism, values that guide her interactions with both clients and colleagues.

Before joining Dod Law, Maria completed an investigative internship with the Federal Defenders of San Diego, where she gained firsthand exposure to the legal profession and the criminal justice system. During her internship, she assisted with investigative tasks, legal research, and case-related responsibilities while observing the collaborative work between attorneys, investigators, and support staff. This experience strengthened her understanding of the importance of thorough preparation, confidentiality, attention to detail, and client advocacy, while reinforcing her passion for pursuing a career in law.

In addition to her legal experience, Maria has developed strong administrative, organizational, and communication skills through her academic and professional experiences. She is highly detail-oriented, adaptable, and capable of managing multiple responsibilities while maintaining accuracy and professionalism in fast-paced environments. Fluent in both English and Spanish, Maria enjoys building meaningful relationships with clients from diverse backgrounds and strives to provide clear, compassionate, and effective communication. She is committed to creating a positive experience for those she serves and contributing to a collaborative, client-focused legal team.

With her educational background, legal experience, bilingual communication skills, and strong work ethic, Maria brings professionalism, compassion, and dedication to every client she serves.
